About patternrecognition.co.za

When I started out with my research it became clear to me that there is a lot of information available on the web for pattern recognition but that the quality of the information is not always very high. The quality resources is still mostly available in books and peer reviewed papers. The idea is to create a site with the same quality of information so that it is accessible to anyone interested in pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistics etc.

There is also not a very clear concept of how all the pieces of this research field fit together. This is possibly because of the integration of so many fields of study and application areas.

The idea is to create a web site with tutorials and source code of all the important concepts in pattern recognition. A forum is also available where researchers can discuss problems and share information.
